Cemeteries

In the 1960s, Mabel Crosby and Flora Daniels worked with members of the Owasco Chapter DAR, Pomona Grange and other volunteers to compile an inventory of the cemeteries in Cayuga County. The inventory included hand-drawn maps of the approximate cemetery locations.

In 2003, staff at the Cayuga County Office of Real Property Services and the County Historian’s Office attempted to create a new set of cemetery location maps by comparing the Crosby/Daniels maps with more modern tax maps.

For the purposes of organization on this site and the original Cayuga GenWeb project, cemeteries have been assigned short IDs, such as Cem001.
