An 1882 Auburn, NY atlas map cites the existence of an “Old Cemetery” on a parcel located along the east side of South Division Street (now Dunning Avenue) in Auburn, NY. The City of Auburn, New York Atlas published by G. M. Hopkins in 1882 shows the adjacent land owned by E. L. Thornton. To view the relevant map plate of the 1882 atlas, click here.
The countywide inventory of cemetery burials compiled by local historians and the D.A. R. in the early 1960s did not include information on burials in this cemetery.
